 Belt skimmers lift and remove unwanted floating tramp oils from metalworking coolants, parts washing machines, pressure spray operations, oil leakage pits, wastewater, and water treatment tanks. Optional accessories include adjustable stand to discharge oil into 55 gal drum and oil/water separators to recycle host fluid and provide 100% oil.

Models BBS/1 and BBS/2 MAXI-Skimmers™ answer the need for an economically priced oil skimmer in this collection range! These skimmers remove floating oil FAST!
Construction is first-class! The top and sides are stainless steel. Ends are 1/2" thick UHMW polymer. Internal working parts are stainless steel and nylon! The scraper blade is UHMW. Lower tail pulley and retainer chain are stainless steel.
A choice of flat polyurethane (2", 3", or 4" wide) or stainless steel (2-1/4" or 4" wide) is available. Belts can reach from 1-50 ft. down from the oil skimmer! Most popular lengths are less than 10 feet long.
BBS/1 & BBS/2 use the same 15 vac quiet dependable motor as used on Model MSB. Helps keep the cost down!

 MAXI-Oil Skimmer Series BBS/3 uses one to four 4" wide polyurethane or stainless steel belts to do the job required. Belts can reach from 1-100 ft. from the mounting base!
Corrosion-resistant construction of stainless steel, UHMW polymer & nylon components. The standard motor is a Baldor brand 1/12 hp, TENV, 115/1/60 equipped with an on-off switch and 6 ft. cordset.
The frame is only 8" wide x 11" high. The overall length, with motor and one belt is 17" — with four belts — 31". The top cover is removeable for inspection.

Retro-B Series Belt Skimmer
 Belt oil skimmers are great for lifting floating tramp oils large distances (from 8 inches to 10 feet) or where access is restricted. Our cogged plastic timing belts are virtually indestructible, and will not stretch or slip over time, like others. Our standard design has a fixed lower pulley for retaining the belt. Standard units remove about 1 quart of floating oil per hour to minimize coolant drag out. Other features and speeds are available, such as steel belts, or 30 rpm motors. Belt-type oil skimmers also come with 24-hour timers.
Belt Types
 Cogged Polyurethane offers a "no-slip" advantage. The "cogs" match the drive pulley cogs. This is especially useful in 2" diameter wells. Available in 1" and 2" widths. A separator is provided to prevent the cogs from meshing in the well casing.
Flat Polyurethane belts are less expensive and are better suited for larger wells (6" up diameter). They can stretch up to about 10% over time. Positive drive is obtained by sufficient tail pulley weight. They come in 1", 2", 3" and 4" widths.
Stainless Steel belts are used when the fluids are not appropriate for polyurethane (high-low ph). These are available in 1", 2.25" and 4" widths.
