How & why it works!
Floating Flow Control Weir
As fluid is pumped from the skimmer sump, the buoyant flow control weir automatically self adjusts- ---allowing an equal flow into the floating skimmer head.
The depth of the skimmer cut is set by the volume pumped from the skimmer sump, allowing a controlled skim from 1/8" to 2". No manual adjustment needed---ever. The skimmer self adjusts rapidly to pump speed and any wave action, maintaining constant skimming operations.

(Sizes from 5-3,000 GPM) installation = simple----just attach a hose and put it in.
These are floating surface skimmers! The simplest design ever.
This non-selective floating skimmer creates a depression in the water, that everything on the surface near it --- runs into. They are very effective as long as you can handle the water that actually carries the oil to it. Used properly it can influence (skim) a large area---FAST. Work great with a vac-truck---- makes it much more effective. With a control wand or by using guide ropes tied to the handles, you can move it in the water ---right to the oil or floating stuff.
One man can easily handle the smaller skimmer units.

Assembly Instructions SBR Decanting Skimmer
Fixed Weir Skimmer:
Also available with a fixed weir -- floating skimmer which lets you skim oil only----if you can work with leaving a small cap of oil in place. The fixed weir floating skimmer sinks in oil but floats in water. Leave it in place and you can skim floating oil only as the oil cap increases. Requires one initial adjustment------then you're done.
