The grinder skimmer is a derivative of our regular floating weir skimmer-----except with VERY sharp teeth.  This self-contained skimmer and grinder pump combination system can be used for skimming or removing all types of floating stuff including oil.
We mount the sewage grinder pump right on the skimmer so that the suction is right in the sump area. If the floating junk will flow or can be coaxed into the skimmer and if it’s not made of metal or kryptonite----the grinder pump skimmer can be made to handle it.
 Our largest grinder skimmer “the Big Chew” can skim oil and even chew up 4”x4” timbers and most anything else that can get into it!
 This skimmer can be tweaked and scaled up to handle some VERY big and powerful pumps, by adding additional flotation to keep it afloat. The skimmer operation is the same----we just add an electric or hydraulic sewage grinder pump to handle the solids and junk floating in the water. Flow rates to 200 GPM. Custom and specialty systems can be put together to fit your requirements.
