Press Release: For Immediate Release
GulfSHOT SkimOil Inc. has assembled a specialty GulfSHOT surface oil skimming system, packaged, sized and configured to work on smaller work-boat vessels that can work close in where the oil meets the shore. This GulfSHOT system, includes all components needed to skim surface oil. The GulfSHOT Skimmer package will allow a workboat to be able to skim oil effectively and quickly—if the boat can get near the oil on the surface—or if a man can reach the oil with a pole! The FWS control wand system with extension poles—allows a man to reach out 10-20' and put the skimmer mouth or weir right in the oil or right next to it... removing the oil... right there! Components:
This is a simple floating well-proven oil skimmer that works with any pump that can pull suction. The unique FWS never needs manual adjustment. NEVER! The FWS skimmer removes what is on the surface and flowable. SkimOil’s GulfSHOT system can turn smaller workboats into skimming machines—making them into true vessels of opportunity. Fishing boats are the right size for getting in close where the oil meets the shore. The harbor and coastal workboat crews are already used to working with diesel engines, pumps and hoses, making them a logical choice to be able to remove oil from the surface of water in close in the shallows. The GulfSHOT skimmer system is a complete skimmer package—skimmer, pump, control wand/poles, and 85' of hoses weighs less than 600 lbs. Can you help get this info into the right hands? Share this with a friend or coworker? Contact SkimOil at (314) 579-9755 or info@skimoil.com. As shown in the GulfSHOT video we are combining the FWS floating weir skimmer with a hybrid "tricked out" oil water separator, so the oil can be largely dewatered—OR so the water going back can be de-oiled. There is so much oil out there—that every skimming location is going to give different oil concentrations. But keep in mind that an operator with a variable flow rate pump—can control the cut or skim he takes off the surface—by controlling his pump suction rate. No manual adjustments needed EVER to the skimmer. Call us if you have questions about the skimming part of this—I personally have already made most of the mistakes possible—so you don't have to. Oil skimmers and oil water separators in stock now! Roscoe McWilliams |
